Anthony Douglas has made it to the World Barista Championship Semi Finals!
The World Barista Championships have been held in Melbourne for the very first time. The event has been running for the past 2 days along with the Melbourne International Coffee Expo. Here many coffee roasters, packaging companies and milk brands have set up their stalls to share their products and services to international guests and fellow coffee lovers. This includes St. aLi, MilkLab, Riverina Milk and many more!
Anthony has now made it to the semi finals after competing in the first round of the World Barista Championships on Tuesday. Anthony will compete against 16 barista champions from around the world at 4:09pm today. Anthony will be presenting 3 coffee courses; an espresso, milk based coffee and a specialty coffee drink of his choice.
Axil's stall is serving up the Aussie champion's beans for all those that wish to try the best beans in Australia! We are serving up cups of Anthony's El Diviso coffee beans from Colombia (the exact beans he used to take out the Australia Barista Championships!). This includes Anthony's award winning espresso and milk based coffee which is served with his revolutionary cryodessicated milk using Riverina Milk.
