What is Cold Brew Coffee?

What is Cold Brew Coffee?

Cold brew is a popular method of brewing coffee that is now very popular across the specialty coffee industry. It's a simple process that involves steeping coffee grounds in cold water for an extended period, typically 12-24 hours. This fool-proof method extracts the coffee's flavour and (most importantly) caffeine.

The great thing about cold brew is that it's smooth and not acidic, making it more enjoyable for almost any coffee lover. We're talking about a naturally sweet taste that is not bitter. But for those who love a bit of milk in their coffee, add a dash and enjoy.

How to make cold brew coffee:

Firstly, you will need a container, coffee grounds, cold water, and a strainer. Firstly, add the coffee grounds to the container, using a ratio of about one cup of coffee grounds to four cups of cold water. Next, stir the mixture until the coffee grounds are completely emersed in the water, then let it steep in the refrigerator for 12-24 hours.

Next, strain the mixture through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth to remove the coffee grounds. You can dilute the concentrate by adding more water or your choice of milk to taste. We recommend enjoying your cold brew over ice.
