About The Coffee:This limited run is a combination of two producer's, 2 varietals & 3 processing methods from Costa Rica.
At 1650 meters above sea level a unique coffee farm named Doña Daisy, run by 75 year old don Pepe Fallas, Doña Daisy’s husband, can be found. Within only one and a half hectares, coffee is a way of life and a passion.
The producer of Costa Rican Don Joel coffee is Allan Alfredo Oviedo Rodriguez. His family project, Finca Don Joel, is located in the West Valley region, near Naranjo and Grecia. Allan Oviedo is a third-generation coffee farmer known for adopting innovative processing methods, such as honey processing, and cultivating high-quality coffee varieties like Villa Sarchi and SL28 to elevate the value of his coffee.
Honey processing is a coffee method that removes the outer cherry skin but leaves some of the sweet, sticky mucilage on the bean before drying.
