Meet the 2025 Australian Barista Champion: Jack Simpson claims his 3rd consecutive win!

Jack Simpson has done it again!

On Sunday the 15th of June in Epping, Victoria, Jack Simpson claimed the title of Australian Barista Champion 2025 for a third consecutive year. Representing Axil Coffee, Jack competed alongside five of the country's top baristas at the prestigious Australian Barista Championships, run by the The Australian Specialty Coffee Association (ASCA). 

The championship is a key event in Australia's specialty coffee calendar and serves as a platform to showcase the talent, precision and creativity of the country's best baristas at a global level. 

With countless hours of training and Jack's unwavering dedication to specialty coffee - supported by the mentorship and guidance of both our founder; Dave Making and Head Roaster; Matt Crowley, this win is a true reflection of passion, teamwork and hard work paying off.  

We couldn't be prouder of the team, and we're beyond excited to see what's next as Jack gears up to perform in Milan at the World Barista Championship, held this October.
