Paying homage to its location, La Vallee Cafe is found in the heart of Moonee Valley, Essendon, on Keilor Road. Known for its delicious coffee and a menu featuring cuisines from across the globe, La Vallee is definitely worth making the trip for.
We spoke to Josh to learn all about La Vallee and what makes it special.
La Vallee: We’re a family business and my father and uncle have been in the cafe industry for a very long time. So as soon as I finished school, I knew it was something I wanted to get in to.
Axil: What really drew you to the hospitality industry?
La Vallee: Growing up and seeing dad work in this industry really made me fall in love with it. So I jumped into the hospitality business and we were lucky enough to find this amazing spot on Keilor Rd in Essendon. Now every family member gets involved from my mum to my sisters. We’re all just really into it.
Axil: What’s your favourite item on the menu?
La Vallee: My go-to has been the steak sandwich. New York Philly cheese style. I don’t know what the chef does to it but every time I’m here, I’m always eating that.
Axil: You guys have used Axil for 3 weeks now, how’s it all going?
La Vallee: I didn’t think people will notice it as much but they did, and I’ve been receiving good feedback. Customers love the quality of the coffee and it was a smooth transition so I just want to thank you guys for everything.
Axil: Likewise! It's been a smooth operation getting you guys on-board and it's been a pleasure working with you guys!
